Soggy scones and perfect Pimms.

It may well have been wet yesterday afternoon but thank you to those who still came and supported our cream tea fundraiser.

It was a nail biting morning, shall we put tables up in the garden or not, we decided to put things out and just hope, so a few hours later and soggy bunting hanging from the trees, a brief glimpse of the sun, and then it was gone again.

Oh well.

So it was plan B, in other words people squashing inside, at this point I need to say a big thank you to my long suffering neighbour, who opens up her garden as well, so we can use both, hardy Brits could be seen determined to eat their scones outside even if they did get wet, sun umbrellas became rain protectors, but it didn’t rain all of the time.

During rain intervals people were in the garden, asking about plants and how we designed it in the beginning ect, some noticed there was a cosy place in the summer house so settled down inside ready for the next shower. Chattering away happily and just making the most of it.

Thank you to our regular raffle ticket seller, who doesn’t let anyone escape without buying a ticket, usually more than one!

Also thanks required to everyone who made cakes to sell, the pavlova was quite a challenge.

To those who skilfully made and crafted things for us to sell, thank you.

What a creative bunch.

On the day we raised £420 which is wonderful.

Have I said thank you, well you can never be thanked enough in my book.

So thank you.
