Singing is good for the soul.

It was good to see a wonderful choir on Breakfast TV this morning singing to help them relax before exams ect.

I am a huge advocate of the powers of singing as you will know.

Joining Gospel Generation Community Choir when I was going through the early stages of estrangement, was without doubt my life line, and continues to be so.

Just listening to a group of people using the free gift, of their voice, is just so uplifting.

Singing brings forward so many different emotions, joy, sadness, grief, excitement  it is so empowering.

When I feel really low and think that I can’t be bothered to go to rehearsals, I know that making that effort will always be worthwhile.

The friendships you make are so valuable, many choir members are also facing life struggles and the empathy just pours out.

A hand on a shoulder,a hug, no words necessary just pure kindness.

Focussing on new music, new harmonies, and in my case, awful pitch is a wonderful way to escape difficult things we are facing,  it enables us to just be in the moment. To concentrate on this coming together of many voices becoming one amazing and moving sound, it really can not be explained, it has to be experienced.

Music of all sorts takes us to places, brings back memories of different times of our lives.

For me singing makes my soul sing, allows me time to heal.

When I hear my husband humming, I think all is well in the world!

Maybe the whole world needs to be humming in harmony.
