A world at war.

We will soon be commemorating VE Day (victory in Europe) there are large services and concerts taking place all over Europe, a time for those who where at the front line of those desperate times of war, to reflect. For those of us who are fortunate enough to not have been around at that time, we can’t possibly imagine the enormous sense of relief when the day came when it was all over.

The fighting and the day to day panic may have been over, but the scars of conflict remained forever, the men and women who were away for in some cases, 7 years, were never the same people again. Many thousands of course, never returned.

It was supposed to be the war to end all wars, we know that has not been the case and we live in a very unstable world, conflict is still raging all over the world.

In our own personal lives we are experiencing conflict of a different kind.

Conflict amongst our own families, families who are out to destroy others. A hidden conflict, hidden because the truth can’t be told because of our secret family courts, hidden because of gagging, hidden because of fear.

People are dying in this conflict, yes dying.

Non resident parents who have had their children ripped away from them, because of revenge and anger, grandparents who are falsely accused of all manners of things, brothers and sisters who don’t understand why they can’t see each other, are dying.

Human beings who can no longer endure the searing pain any longer are ending their lives.

To those who have never experienced this have no understanding, of the desperation of being apart from a loved one and the impact it has.

As a society, we have to acknowledge this catastrophe, this is an epidemic.

To anyone who is reading this blog, and is the person responsible for inflicting terminal wounds to others, you have their blood on your hands.

There is no victory here.
