A new report published today is yet another sad reflection on life for our young people.

The Princes Trust report  https://www.princes-trust.org.uk/about-the-trust/news-views/the-princes-trust-2017-macquarie-youth-index-released-today#_ftn1  paints such a sad picture for us all.

1 in 10 young people aged 16-25 years old, say that they feel they have no-one to care for them.

When are we going to learn that it is our responsibility to ensure that all children are loved and that the adults in their lives are always there for them.

As parents and grandparents we don’t have rights over our young people but we do have responsibilities.

Responsibility to love them unconditionally, not to judge them, not to tell them how to live their lives but to respect their views and decisions and to enable them to have full and caring relationships with all family members and adult relationships.

No child should ever feel that they have no-one who cares about them.

All young people should be told how they are valued.
