Christmas has now arrived in BGSG household.

Last night I took part in the second concert of Gospel Generation Community Choir, once again spirits were lifted, a coming together of people raising the roof, with songs of hope.

Christmas decorations are appearing around the place, but most importantly, your ‘Tree of Hope’ is now up in the front garden, many messages already are fluttering away on the branches and lit at night, shining out for every grandchild and grandparent who will not be sharing yet another Christmas together.

We can’t change that situation, but what we do, not only over Christmas but every day of the year, is to give support and hope, to everyone who is feeling so isolated and alone.

Once you have contacted us, you will be linked up with others who understand what you are going through, people who will be there for you when you need to talk.

Looking out of my window watching the children coming home from our local school, stopping and saying,’Oh, the grandparents tree is up,’ is a reminder that if we can get the small people thinking about what can happen, maybe they will really think hard before ever letting it happen to their family when they are older.

We have messages on the tree from all over the world, so get writing and I will add your message.
