So it is the morning after the night before.

On a very wet and windy afternoon, hundreds gathered in my local church to listen to some wonderful music and songs, from the very young to the more mature voices everyone gave so much pleasure.

Not one person left that place without a smile on their face, the occasional tear as well, but a joining together.

For me personally, standing at the back of the  church reflecting on what is happening is difficult to put into words.

All performers are there because of the fact I was prevented from being part of my granddaughters life, and my son being apart from his daughter, such a terrible heartbreak for us all, but somehow there is joy just for that moment.

The church was full of people who were supporting Bristol Grandparents Support Group and all the grandparents who are estranged from their grandchildren, so even if you were not able to be there, the support given from them enable BGSG to do what we do, and to support you all.

Lastly, I must thank everyone who turned up to help set up and take down, to man stalls ect, without you we couldn’t do things like this.

Thank you so much, and I will let you know how much we raised when we have had time to sort it out!
